Jorge Mario has 25 years of experience in the mining industry, having worked as an exploration geologist since 1988 in Elko, Nevada, Nunavut, Canada, various states of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. His technical background and expertise plus his training in political science, corporate social responsibility, environmental stewardship and good international industry practices, has made him very effective to interact with communities, corporations, governments and other social actors of diverse background and origin. Jorge Mario has developed due diligence processes, community relations plans and strategies, risk analysis, social conflict resolution, and training for teams of diverse mining and energy projects in North and Central America. He has been particularly successful in helping Junior mining companies in complying with international good practice and standards and contributing to the sustainability of indigenous communities during the exploration phase.
